Press Release: Bob Zink and Brian Beans Join the MobileDemand Team

MobileDemand, the nation’s leading provider of Rugged Tablet PCs in the transportation market announces that industry veteran Bob Zink has been named Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this role Zink will be responsible for worldwide direct/channel sales and marketing of all MobileDemand Rugged xTablet products and services. MobileDemand has also named Brian Beans to Channel Sales and Business Development Manager. Brian will be responsible for developing MobileDemand’s partner strategy and growing its partner ecosystem.

Bob ZinkZink brings his broad range of experience and expertise to MobileDemand from his 30 years of leading sales and systems engineering teams in the Automated Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry. He has held various leadership positions including US Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Intermec Technologies, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Xpedium, and Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Socket Mobile. Zink began his career selling and marketing rugged mobile computers at Norand Corporation where he helped pioneer the use of rugged mobile PCs for commercial use in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and developed and executed The Coca-Cola Company’s first global deployment of mobile computing technology for route sales, delivery and merchandising.

Brian BeansBeans brings over 23 years of experience managing sales of mobile computing solutions in a variety of vertical markets. He has held senior management and other sales positions at Honeywell, Velocitor Solutions, Intermec and Motorola where he built direct and channel sales teams that met or exceeded quota every year garnering him top sales recognition by executive management.

In his new position at MobileDemand, Zink will help refine the company’s sales strategy, identify new market requirements and oversee implementation of programs to build MobileDemand’s presence and market share in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Beans will be responsible for developing MobileDemand’s channel sales strategy and recruiting vertical market resellers, ISVs and other partners to build sales and better serve customers in industries and regions of focus.
