Military-Grade Rugged Case for Microsoft® Surface Go Introduced by MobileDemand
Rugged case provides industry-leading tablet protection, is easy to carry and hold, mountable, and add-on ready, providing the right tool for the job
HIAWATHA, IA – August 14, 2018 – MobileDemand, an authorized reseller for Microsoft Surface devices and the first company to offer a rugged case to pass all requirements for the Microsoft Surface Pro® in the Designed for Surface program, is introducing its military-grade rugged xCase for the 2-in-1 Microsoft Surface Go. Along with the rugged case for Surface Go, MobileDemand will offer a Surface Go bundle that includes the Microsoft Surface Go, a MobileDemand proven rugged military-tested Surface case, and a chemically strengthened screen protector.
Microsoft recently introduced the new Surface Go, their smallest, lightest, and most affordable Surface product to date. The Surface Go offers a high-resolution PixelSense™ display and an Intel® Pentium® Gold Processor in a 10-inch 1.15-pound tablet, striking a balance between form and function, performance and versatility. The Microsoft Surface series is already an extremely well-received tablet and successful laptop for mobile business environments. The smaller, sleeker Surface Go will be attractive to students and educators, the healthcare industry, and anyone on-the-go with a need for computing ability and a requirement of security and lower computing costs. With a MSRP of $445, the Surface Go offers an affordable entry-level price point, but provides enough power to get the job done. View Microsoft's Surface Go video:
The MobileDemand Surface Go bundle will be hassle free and ready-to deploy when received by customers, as MobileDemand experts will apply both the case and the screen protector before shipping. In addition to the bundle, MobileDemand will offer various Surface Go accessories to help make our customers’ jobs easier.
Like all MobileDemand rugged tablets and rugged cases, the Surface Go case must pass drop testing to meet military standards (MIL-STD 810G 516.6 IV), ensuring our customers can take their tablets with them anywhere they go. While most of our competitors use up to five devices to pass these drop tests, we Demand More™ and use only one device for all 26 drops. Additionally, some companies will state “MILSTD810G” and not specify a drop height; we note the exact drop height and provide video proof.
The new MobileDemand Surface Go rugged bundle is proven rugged, easy to carry and hold, mountable, and ready for add-on functionality:
Proven Rugged – Distinctive rubber corner bumpers provide extreme-level shock absorption and meet MIL-STD-810G ruggedness testing, with other MobileDemand cases reaching heights of 8 feet. The MobileDemand rugged Surface Go case is IP53 sealed for water and dust, and includes port covers to prevent water and dust from entering the device. Add in the chemically strengthened screen protector and your Surface Go will be able to stand up to nearly any environment.
Easy to Carry and Hold – Like all MobileDemand products, the rugged case for Surface Go offers a convenient briefcase handle for effortless carrying, and a back-hand strap to comfortably hold the tablet in the palm of the hand. A secure grasp on the device is key for ease-of-use and to prevent users from dropping the device, keeping IT support and replacement costs to a minimum.
Mountable – The rugged Surface Go is mountable thanks to the patented snap mount plate, allowing for secure mounting, and quick insertion and removal. The simple, small, easy-to-use mount can attach the Surface Go to vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and even forklifts. The mount can be affixed to walls, tripods, counters, carts, desks – nearly anywhere one can imagine.
Add-On Ready – MobileDemand extends the functionality the Surface Go by providing screw inserts in the case to attach any add-on device. In retail environments that take payments in a mobile setting, PCI-compliant point-of-sale magnetic strip readers and PIN pads can be attached to the rugged case. Optional brackets are offered to be compatible with Ingenico, MagTek, PayPal, and other payment module systems. Other extendable add-ons include 3D cameras such as the Intel© RealSense™ Depth Camera D415, and thermal cameras.
“MobileDemand sets the standard by offering the most rugged cases in the industry for Microsoft Surface and iPad®.” said Matt Miller, MobileDemand President/Founder. “We help our customers find the right tool for the job, and that includes rugged cases to protect the sleek and light Surface Go.”
